Acquiring our House in 2011 has allowed us to imagine exciting new opportunities and visions for our group. Many hurdles have been jumped, and a few more are looming as we continue to evolve a plan for our new home. Some highlights we have already achieved are:

- We have a permanent place for practicing for our shows and activities! After years of borrowing from generous organizations and the Unit 2 School District for practice space for our shows, we now have a safe and comfortable home to call our own. We appreciate the care and respect the kids and their parents and guardians have shown to our building.
- We have provided a facility for a Film Screening preview and discussion of the PBS Special, "The Dust Bowl" in conjunction with the WSIU and hope to continue to be available for similar projects.
- We opened our House to the Producer of a SAG Low Budget film for auditions and some administrative assistance. Dig Two Graves was filmed in many familiar areas of Southern Illinois during the month of January, 2013, including the Carnival scene on the Marion Square, just around the corner from our House! Several local people acted in the film, including speaking parts and extras. We anxiously await the result, which will work through the Film Festival circuit when complete and hopefully receive rave reviews!
- We are hosting auditions for the McLeod Summer Playhouse Guys and Dolls, and will host two weeks of practices for this musical.
