Artstarts’ House Rental Checklist and Agreement

 
The following persons are eligible to use or rent the Artstarts House, located at 104 South Van Buren, Marion, Illinois:

            Members of Artstarts, upon paying the rental and deposit fees stated herein.

            Volunteers of Artstarts:  A volunteer must have volunteered a period of 75 hours to be eligible to use the building free of   
            charge.  Volunteers must also pay a deposit fee of $100.  The deposit will be refunded after the event, provided the terms
            set forth herein have been met.

Minimum usage:  3 hours.  Minimum rental fee:  $150, and $50 for each hour past 3 hours.


Rules of the House:

_____ 1.           $100 Deposit required even if a Volunteer Rental.

_____ 2.           No smoking in the building.

_____ 3.           No alcohol usage allowed in the building.

_____ 4.           No one is allowed in the Basement.

_____ 5.           No one is allowed upstairs, on either side.

_____ 6.           Do not touch any thermostats. Please call 618 645-2787 if comfort adjustment is required.

_____ 7.           Only battery-operated candles are allowed, no real fire candles.

_____ 8.           No leftover food is to be left in the refrigerators.

_____ 9.           All used paper or plastic cups/bottles/plates/trash must be removed to trash cans.

_____ 10.        Trash bags for all cans and all cleaning utensils are in the Utility closet across from the Dance Room/Kitchen area.  

_____ 11.         ALL trash cans must be emptied before leaving the building, including bathroom and trash cans, kitchen trash cans and any
                        trash cans used by persons using/renting the building. 

_____ 12.        Trash bags must be removed from the building and placed in the garbage cans that are located on the north side of the building.

_____ 13.        Fresh trash bags must be placed in all trash cans.

_____ 14.        Floors must be swept and left clean.

_____ 15.        If necessary, for example there is food or liquid on the floors, floors must be mopped, particularly in the Kitchen.   

_____ 16.        Any trays/dishes/kitchen implements that are property of Artstarts must be washed and put back where they were found.

_____ 17.        Lights must be turned off before exiting.

_____ 18.        Key to Artstarts must be returned immediately upon exiting the building following the event.

______________ hours of volunteer services that I have previously documented and submitted to Artstarts, and depositing  $100, to use the

Artstarts’ building located at 104 South Van Buren Marion, Illinois on _________________________________(date), from

___________to____________(time).

I agree to indemnify Artstarts for any damages to Artstarts’ property that might occur during this usage and to hold Artstarts Company and its Directors harmless from any liability that might result from any incidents that might occur during my building usage.
